222 Crystal View Court

Lakeside, MT 59922.

What are the differences between each cabin?

Stoner Creek Cabins is a ten acre property with eight identical cabins named after Montana rivers. The cabins are divided into two classes based on property location - Hillside and Creekside. All of our cabins are identical in architectural design and aesthetics, but there are nuanced differences.

Hillside cabins are the original cabins on the property. They share a view into the natural forest, include air conditioning only in the bedroom via mini split, and are at a lower price point. Creekside cabins were completed in the fall of 2022. Each Creekside cabin is situated with frontage to Stoner Creek with full central air conditioning. A relaxing spot to listen to the rambling creek from your patio or living room with the sliding doors open.

Hillside cabins - The Two Medicine, The Blackfoot, The Kootenai, The Stillwater

Creekside cabins - The Yellowstone, The Clark Fork, The Gallatin, The Bitterroot

We recommend taking a look at our

How do I book a stay?

We now offer Direct Book for our guests. Direct book is the most economical option as you are only charged for the nightly rate, cleaning fee, and taxes. We do not charge any extra fees for pets and extra guests. Follow the Book Now button to book directly and save. We are also listed on Airbnb and VRBO for our guests that prefer alternate booking channels. Please note, all third party channels add their own fees.

Are Stoner Creek Cabins pet friendly?
We are pet friendly! We love our pets and believe they are part of the family. Simply let us know how many you are bringing. We do not charge a pet fee as long as our furry friends follow our house rules. Be sure to kennel your pet if they are destructive when you leave the cabin without them. We have bears, deer, moose, ill-tempered squirrels, and mountain lions local to the area. We recommend keeping your pet on a leash outside for their safety! Every rental includes our complimentary pet kit to ensure your pet’s comfort during your stay.

Can you rent the whole property?

Our cabins are available for rent up to one year in advance. If looking to book multiple cabins, we strongly recommend booking as far in advance as possible. We do not offer group rates or discounts.

Are Stoner Creek Cabins available for weddings or events?

Our property is not available for any size of wedding, event, or large gathering. We are located in the town of Lakeside at the end of a residential street and aim to respect the impact on our neighbors and local community. The property is not designed to accommodate large gatherings or events. We are happy to accommodate full buyouts of the property for lodging needs of wedding guests when planning a wedding or event nearby, such as Somer's Mansion, Snowline Acres, or a rustic elopement up Blacktail.

Are there long term rentals available?

We are unable to offer long term rentals or extended stay due to limitations with our insurance policy. Our guests are welcome to stay for a maximum visit length of 28 days. If you are looking for an extended stay (under 28 days) during peak summer season, we strongly recommend booking one year in advance.

Who built your cabins?

Our cabins were designed by a Montana architecture firm, Cushing Terrell. The cabins are custom, wood-frame construction built by TCG, a local contractor.

Are there firepits?

Each cabin includes its own private fire pit. We offer split wood throughout the property for guest use.

What are the dining options?

Lakeside offers an array of dining options. Check out our local area guides for detailed recommendations!

What is there to do in the area?

There are lots of activities year round in our area. We thrive in the summer with our long days of sunshine! From boat tours to watercraft rentals, hiking to mountain biking. Montana’s famous huckleberries are ready for picking in August. Once our snow is here to stay, we are just down the road from the Blacktail Mountain Ski Area. Our winter guests may also drive up to Whitefish to ski Big Mountain.
